Most small businesses run deliveries from a notebook and a phone call: who took the parcel, did it reach, and where is the ₹4,500 the customer paid at the door. Nidhi Delivery writes that down. Every delivery is a job with a drop address, a contact, a pickup branch or warehouse, a date and, if it is cash on delivery, the amount to collect. A job can be raised on its own or from a Nidhi Books delivery challan with one button. Riders are people already on your Nidhi Staff register, so nobody types a driver's name and phone twice. The rider sees only their own deliveries on their phone, records who received the goods, and enters the cash taken at the door. At the end of the day you count what each rider hands back and close the day once — a closed day cannot be edited, only voided with a reason. Available on the 399apps cloud or self-hosted.

Each delivery gets a reference (DJ-0001 and up), a drop address, a contact name and phone, a pickup branch or warehouse, a scheduled date and notes for the rider. The customer is optional — a walk-in does not need to be on your customer list.
Open a delivery challan in Nidhi Books and tap "Schedule delivery" — the job links back to the challan. A challan can be scheduled only once, so the same goods never go out on two trips by mistake. Jobs with no challan behind them work just as well.
A rider is someone already on your Nidhi Staff register. You only add the vehicle number and whether they are on the roster. Someone who has carried deliveries cannot be deleted — take them off the roster instead, and the history of who delivered what stays.
Tick the day's deliveries and pick the rider. Anything that cannot be handed over — already picked up or closed — is counted and told to you, not quietly skipped. Today's board shows every delivery for a day grouped by who is carrying it, idle riders included.
Not assigned, assigned, picked up, then delivered, failed or cancelled. Once a rider has picked goods up, the job cannot be moved to another rider — the honest way out is to mark it failed with a reason and raise a new one, so both facts stay on record.
A rider logs in and sees only their own deliveries for today plus anything still in their bag from yesterday. Call the contact, open directions in Google Maps, mark picked up, delivered or could not deliver. Another rider's delivery simply cannot be opened.
Marking a delivery done asks for the name of the person who received it, with an optional photo and signature. The proof and the "delivered" stamp save together or not at all. Failed deliveries pick a reason from a short list: nobody at the address, wrong address, refused, payment not ready, goods damaged.
The rider enters the cash taken at the door in the same tap as the proof. The day close shows, per rider, what was due, what was collected and what was handed back, and the difference. A closed day is frozen; a wrong one is voided with a reason and closed again. Reports show deliveries by rider, failures by reason, and cash still with each rider over any date range.

If you have two or ten delivery boys on bikes or in a tempo, and the only record of who took what is a notebook or a WhatsApp group, this is the register that replaces it.
Customers pay at the door
If cash on delivery is common and money goes missing between the door and the counter, the per-rider day close shows exactly who is still holding how much, every day.
You get "it never arrived" calls
If customers dispute deliveries, the name, photo and signature taken at the door, with the time, is the answer you can show them.
Couriers do your shipping
If parcels go out through a courier company, you need courier booking and tracking, not a rider register. A shipping aggregator such as Shiprocket fits that job better.
You need live GPS and route planning
Nidhi Delivery records status, proof and cash. It does not show riders on a live map, plan routes, or message customers automatically. A dedicated last-mile platform such as Shipday or Locus fits large fleets better.
You want COD posted to your accounts automatically
The day close tells you what each rider handed back. It does not post a payment or a bank entry in Nidhi Books — you record the receipt in Books yourself.
