Nidhi Warehouse is warehouse management software for Indian distributors and wholesalers, at ₹399/month with unlimited users. Overview

Which bin it is in, not just how much you hold.

Nidhi Inventory tells you that you hold 400 units in your Bhiwandi godown. It does not tell the picker which rack they are on. Nidhi Warehouse adds that layer. You set up aisles, racks, shelves and bins inside each location in Nidhi Inventory, then put received stock away into them. A sales order or invoice becomes a picklist that sends the picker to the bin holding the most of each item, one line at a time. Every pick is checked with a barcode or unit scan, so a look-alike SKU from the next shelf is stopped before it ships. Cycle counts compare what is on the shelf with what the system believes, and approving one writes the stock correction for you. Bin moves never change your warehouse total — only a sent invoice takes stock out. Available on the 399apps cloud or self-hosted.

Stock by bin, not just by godown

Every bin in a location shows how many items and how many units it holds. Open an item to see every bin that holds it, across every location. Stock that was received but never binned is shown as "Unassigned", so it is never lost from view.

Put-away that keeps totals honest

Tell the app which bin received stock went into, or move it from one bin to another. A put-away is a matched out-and-in inside the same location, so your total on hand does not change. You cannot move more out of a bin than the bin holds.

Picklists that walk the shed

Build a picklist from a sales order or an invoice. Each goods line gets a suggested bin — the one holding the most of that item — and the picker sees one line at a time, in bin order, with unassigned stock last.

Scan to verify every pick

The picker scans the item barcode or a unit's serial or printed code. If it is the wrong item, the pick is refused with "That is X, not Y". Over-picking a line and scanning a unit held at another location are refused too.

Reserved stock is not sold twice

Goods that have been picked for an order that has not shipped show as reserved, and each bin shows quantity, reserved and available. When the invoice is sent the reservation clears on its own. Cancel a picklist and the picked goods go back to their bins.

Pack what was actually picked

Close a finished walk into a package (PKG-1, PKG-2…) and attach it to a shipment if you have one. A short pick packs short — the package lists the picked quantity, not the ordered one.

Cycle counts with an approval step

Count one bin, one item across all bins, or a whole location. Expected quantities are frozen when the count opens, and a blind count hides them from the counter. Approving writes the stock adjustments, measured against the live balance so a pick made mid-count is not undone.

The morning warehouse dashboard

Inward and outward today, open picklists, empty bins, the five fullest bins, unassigned units, and a slow-moving list of stock nothing has gone out of in 90 days (or a window you set). A second view lists every location with its last activity.

Fit check

Who Nidhi Warehouse is for — and who it is not for.

Bins matter once a godown is too big to remember. Read this before you add the app.

It fits if

  • Pickers lose time looking for stock

If the system says you hold the item but someone has to walk the racks to find it, bin-level stock and suggested bins on every picklist line fix that.

  • Wrong items go out in look-alike packs

If two SKUs look the same on the shelf and customers get the wrong one, scan-verified picking stops the line until the right item is scanned.

  • Your stock count and the shelf disagree

If you only find the gap at year-end, regular cycle counts by bin — with blind counting and an approval step — find it every week and correct it through the normal stock adjustment.

It does not fit if

  • Your stock fits in one room

A shop with one storeroom rarely needs bins. Nidhi Inventory alone tracks stock, locations and barcodes at ₹399/month — do not pay for Warehouse to leave every bin empty.

  • You need lot numbers and expiry, not bins

If your question is "which delivery was it and when does it expire", that is Nidhi Traces, a different ₹399 app with FEFO picking and a recall report. Warehouse answers "which bin"; Traces answers "which lot". You can own either or both.

  • You run a large fulfilment centre

Warehouse covers bins, put-away, pick and pack, cycle counts and a dashboard. It does not do courier label printing, wave or batch picking across many orders, or marketplace order sync. If you ship thousands of e-commerce orders a day, a dedicated WMS such as Unicommerce will fit you better.

கவனிக்கவும். Nidhi Warehouse reads the stock ledger that Nidhi Inventory records, and your bins are set up in Inventory, so the two run together — ₹399 + ₹399 = ₹798/month with unlimited users. Add Nidhi Traces for lot and expiry tracking at another ₹399.

Compared

Nidhi Warehouse vs Excel, TallyPrime godowns and Zoho Inventory bins.

Most distributors already track the godown somewhere. This is what changes when you move bin stock into Nidhi Warehouse, and when you should not.

vs an Excel sheet or godown register

  • The sheet does not move when stock does

A rack list in Excel is right on the day someone updates it. In Nidhi Warehouse a put-away or bin move is the record, so the bin figure and the location total never disagree.

  • Nothing checks the picker

A printed list cannot refuse the wrong carton. A Warehouse picklist line is only ticked when the right item barcode or unit code is scanned.

  • Stock takes become weekly, not yearly

Count one bin or one item at a time, blind if you want, and approving the count writes the correction. No reconciling a sheet against the books in March.

vs TallyPrime godowns and sub-godowns

  • Tally can hold the rack, not walk to it

TallyPrime lets you nest godowns to stand for racks and bins, and moves between them go through a Stock Journal. Its godown documentation describes no picklist, suggested bin or scan check for the person picking the order.

  • Picks reserve stock before the invoice

In Warehouse, picked goods for an unshipped order show as reserved, so the next order cannot sell them twice. The reservation clears when the invoice is sent.

  • Keep Tally for the books if you like

If your accountant files from TallyPrime, Warehouse still needs Nidhi Inventory for the stock ledger (₹399 + ₹399 = ₹798/month). Moving the accounts off Tally is a separate decision.

vs Zoho Inventory bin locations

  • Bins are not a plan upgrade

Zoho Inventory puts bin locations on its Premium and Enterprise plans with a bin limit per warehouse, per Zoho's own announcement. Nidhi Warehouse is ₹399/month with no cap on locations, bins, items or users.

  • Existing godowns can start using bins

Zoho's announcement says bins cannot be switched on for a warehouse that already has transactions. In Nidhi Warehouse stock that was never binned shows as "Unassigned" and you put it away when you are ready.

  • Choose Zoho if you sell on marketplaces

Zoho Inventory connects to online marketplaces and shipping carriers. Nidhi Warehouse has no marketplace order sync or courier label printing, so a high-volume online seller may be better served there.

கவனிக்கவும். Competitor details are from TallyPrime's help pages and Zoho's bin-locations announcement as read on 2026-10-21. Check their current plans before you decide.

FAQ

Warehouse — FAQs

We have 400 cartons of one item spread across three racks — can the app tell my picker which rack to go to? +
Yes. Once stock is put away into bins, the item's bin stock page lists every bin holding it and how much is in each. When you build a picklist from the order, the line already names the bin holding the most of that item, so the picker walks straight there.
How does the scan stop a wrong item from being picked? +
On each picklist line the picker scans the item barcode or a unit's serial or printed code. The app checks it against the item on the line. If it is a different item, the pick is refused with a message naming both items. It also refuses a quantity larger than the line still needs.
Does moving stock between bins change my stock figures? +
No. A put-away or bin-to-bin move takes the quantity off one bin and adds it to another inside the same location, so the location total stays the same. Stock only leaves the warehouse when the invoice is sent.
Can I do a stock take without the counter seeing the expected numbers? +
Yes. Tick "Blind count" when you open a cycle count and the expected quantity stays hidden until the count is approved. A blank box means not counted yet, so an empty bin has to be entered as 0 before it is written off.
What happens to stock that was picked during a cycle count? +
It is kept. When the count is approved, the correction is the counted quantity minus the bin's live balance at that moment, not the frozen figure from when the count opened. A pick made halfway through the count is not reversed.
Can I see which items have not sold for months? +
Yes. The warehouse dashboard has a slow-moving list: items you still hold that nothing has gone out of in the last 90 days, with the bins they sit in and when they last went out. You can change the 90-day window.
Do I need Nidhi Inventory as well? +
Yes. Nidhi Warehouse reads the stock that Nidhi Inventory records, and you create your aisles, racks and bins in Inventory. Both are ₹399/month, so the pair is ₹798/month with unlimited users.
How is Nidhi Warehouse different from Nidhi Traces? +
Warehouse tracks where goods are inside the godown — which bin. Traces tracks which lot they came from and when they expire, with FEFO picking and a recall report. They are separate ₹399 apps and you can run either or both on top of Nidhi Inventory.
I already keep my racks as sub-godowns in TallyPrime. Why would I add Nidhi Warehouse? +
Sub-godowns tell you where stock is once someone records the move. Nidhi Warehouse also tells the picker which bin to walk to for each order line, refuses the wrong item at the scan, reserves picked goods until the invoice is sent, and runs blind cycle counts by bin. If nobody picks from more than a few racks, TallyPrime godowns may be enough.
What does Nidhi Warehouse cost? +
₹399/month on the 399apps cloud, like every other app, with unlimited users and no cap on locations, bins or items. Self-hosted deployment is available on the same product.
